It is with great regret and deep sadness that the Calgary Flames acknowledge the passing of Clay Riddell.

Mr. Riddell joined the Flames Ownership Group in 2003-2004 because of his passion for his home team, love of the sport and a personal commitment during a critical time for the Flames.

His devotion to the organization for the last fifteen years as first a fan and then an integral part of the Ownership Group has meant everything to his partners, Mr. N. Murray Edwards, Mr. Alvin Libin, Mr. Allan Markin and Mr. Jeff McCaig, the organization and the entire community.

“We mourn the passing of a great man of industry, sports, philanthropy and human decency along with our City, Province and Country. His legacies to all of us are immeasurable. To his family our gratitude, respect and deepest sympathy.” – Ken King, Vice Chairman & CEO.
