The Calgary Flames will be making their annual holiday visit to the Alberta Children’s Hospital on Monday, December 4th.
The team will go to the Alberta Children’s Hospital where they will participate in holiday activities, visit patient rooms, sign autographs, and join youth and families in the arts and crafts room. Members of the Calgary Hitmen’s leadership group will join the Flames for the afternoon festivities at the hospital. Media will be permitted access to the activity space on the fourth floor in the Arts Room.
The Flames continue to build a special relationship with the Alberta Children’s Hospital, which includes the Townsend Tigers wheelchair hockey game, numerous individual player visits and ticket donations and a partnership that helped open southern Alberta’s first free-standing pediatric hospice, the Rotary Flames House, adjacent to the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Since the Rotary Flames House opened in 2009, the Calgary Flames Foundation continues to donate annually to support the Rotary Flames House.
The Calgary Flames Foundation strives to improve the lives of southern Albertans through support of health and wellness, grassroots sports, and education. The Calgary Flames Foundation works to help kids play and prosper and since inception has donated over $60 million to southern Alberta charities.
