The Calgary Flames Foundation welcomed a special family from the Kids Cancer Care Flames PEER Program, who shared their story about how the funds raised at the golf tournament supports their experience of the Flames PEER Program. After providing a $1 million donation to help build a camp for youth and families affected by cancer, the Calgary Flames Foundation partnered with Kids Cancer Care to create the Flames PEER Program. The program works with youth who are experiencing the side effects of aggressive cancer treatments using movement therapy. The Flames Foundation supports Kids Cancer Care programming through a multi-year partnership that has resulted in programs like Camp Kindle and the Flames PEER Program.
