
The Flames Foundation, the Calgary Flames Alumni, and Hockey Calgary have partnered to offer the Jr. Flames Hockey Program. the 8-session game play program will be open players who have graduated from a Try Hockey program (ex. First Shift) or at minimum have basic skating and hockey skill. Players currently registered in an y Hockey Canada full-time program are not eligible to register. The first 2 ice times will be a mix of practice and game play. The final 6 games will be formal games with referees.
The Jr. Flames program is designed for:
- U9, U11, and U13 players for the current hockey season.
- To continue to develop basic hockey skills that allow them to have fun and experience success in a full-time program.
- To start to learn the rules of hockey.
- To increase their initial involvement to help give players a more formal hockey experience.
NOTE: Players currently enrolled in any Hockey Calgary full-time hockey program are NOT eligible to register for this program.
The Jr. Flames program will feature:
- Calgary Flames Alumni as Guest Coaches
- Custom Jerseys
- Commemorative Puck
- All participants will receive $100.00 credit towards their registration in a full-time Hockey Alberta program for the 2026-27 season.
