The Flames Foundation, the Calgary Flames Alumni, and Hockey Calgary have partnered to offer the Jr. Flames Hockey Program. The 8-week game play program will be open to players who have graduated from a try hockey program or at minimum have basic skating and hockey skill. The first 2 ice times will be a mix of practice and game play. The final 6 ice times will be formal games with referees.
The Jr. Flames program is designed:
· For U9, U11, and U13 players (2022-23 season)
· To continue to develop basic hockey skills that allow them to have fun and experience success in a full-time program
· To start to learn the rules of the game
· To increase their initial involvement to help give players a more formal hockey experience
The Jr. Flames program will feature:
· Calgary Flames Alumni as Head Coaches
· Custom Jerseys
· Commemorative Puck
· All participants will receive a $100 credit towards their registration in a full time Hockey Calgary program for the 2022-23 season
