MINOR HOCKEY IN CALGARY
FLAMES NOVICE PROGRAM
Joining forces with Hockey Calgary, the Calgary Flames Foundation announced a joint initiative for Novice Hockey in Calgary. The Flames Foundation has made an annual commitment to provide each Novice team in the city with a jersey for every player as well as fundraising tools for each hockey association. Calgary Flames players visit Novice hockey team practices as a part of the partnership.
FLAMES COMMUNITY HOUSE LEAGUE
In 2017 the Calgary Flames Foundation and Hockey Calgary joined forces to build the Flames Community House League. The Flames Community House League is a regionally operated program for players in the Novice to Pee Wee age categories. The League is intended for families and youth seeking a recreational option for hockey, with less time and travel commitments. Scheduling is predetermined for two days a week including one practice and one game, and the registration fee is lower compared to other mainstream programs with minimal team fundraising.

OUR THREE PILLARS
The Calgary Flames Foundation has several annual commitments in support of Education, Health and Wellness, and Amateur and Grassroots Sports. This year the Calgary Flames Foundation distributed over $3.8 million to annual projects and southern Alberta charities in need.
