Flames@School focuses on health and wellness of students, and is a resource for both teachers and students. The curriculum-based assets are an exciting ‘inside look’ at Flames players that aims to motivate, educate and inspire students to make healthy decisions. READING…GIVE IT A SHOT!

This will mark the 21st season Flames players have been visiting grades four, five and six students as part of the Reading…Give It A Shot! program. With the results of the program improving annually, a reported 96 percent of the enrolled students have shown an improved motivation to read.

SCHOLARSHIPS

The Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation continues to support students in rural Alberta through the Flames Foundation post-secondary scholarship program.

HARLEY HOTCHKISS

Every year, the Flames Foundation awards scholarships for students attending Calgary post-secondary institutions, including the University of Calgary, SAIT and Mount Royal University.

RURAL 

Rural post-secondary institutions Red Deer College, Lethbridge College, Medicine Hat College and the University of Lethbridge each receive annual scholarships.

HARVEY’S LITTLE READERS

This introductory literacy program is for students in grades one, two and three. The Calgary Educational Partnership Foundation and the Calgary Flames reading incentive program encourages students of younger ages to read, similar to the Reading…Give it A Shot! program.
